At the 1998 World Marine Mammal Society Conference in Monaco, the student members of the SMM declared their enthusiasm for a website devoted to issues and resources of particular interest to SMM student members.  Since then, student participation in the SMM has grown substantially with the establishment of SMM Student Chapters and the development of the Student Affairs Workshop held in conjunction with the SMM Biennial Conference on the Biology of Marine Mammals.  This site is the central meeting area for our global student community.
